The MCP19111 Battery Charger Evaluation board demonstrates the functionality of a programmable and configurable variety of chemical battery chargers. By controlling the high-efficiency synchronous step-down circuit, the MCP19111 can be programmed to make a very flexible battery charger. The controller dynamically converts voltage to current-controlled charging based on the charge characteristics of the target battery chemistry, and the operation can be adjusted or monitored using the available software GUI, PICKit™, and USB connections.
